R.S. Grey continues to top her own writing. With every new book she raises the level and you think that THIS is your favorite book by her, and it is, so far at least… then she writes another one and you have to widen your scope from favorite to favorites. Because it’s impossible to choose just one!
Coldhearted Boss was everything I want when reading an enemies to lovers rom com. There’s no insta-love, like “I have to be mean because I know instantly that I love her and I’m going to marry this woman someday”. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for some insta-love now and again, but in this case we get the sexy slow burn of a hate-to-love relationship with a good reason why they do not get along in the beginning of the book. Overall, I thought that the friction, the good kind of lusty angst and lovely getting to know each other storyline was delightful. The whole thing felt well paced and made me go through a spectrum of emotions, which (for me) is a good sign of good storytelling. My absolute favorite part was the epilogue. That sucker punched me right in the feels and gave me everything I wanted in a Happily Ever After ending.
